Noise Control Products
Acoustic Foam
Acoustic foams help to absorb sound and to slow echo and reverb within a room. Acoustic foams do NOT block sound from transmitting through it. Acoustic foams are for treating the inside of a room to help deaden or dampen echo and reverb inside that room.
GK Melamine
Melamine acoustic foam is fire retardant, works great for public buildings and passes fire codes. Used widely among Miracle-Ear builds, schools/universities and other public buildings.

Acoustic Fabric
Acoustic fabrics help absorb echo and reverb and some vibrations in certain applications. Acoustic fabrics do NOT block sound from transmitting through them! Used in many applications: wall treatment, DIY sound booths, and more!
GK Sound Booth Fabrics
These fabrics are great for sound dampening & vibration isolation. Work well on sound isolation booths, speakers & other acoustic projects. These fabrics are NOT fire rated.

Pre-Built Ventilation System
The hardest part of building your own sound isolation booth is building a ventilation system that does not leak sound. Get rid of the headache and install our pre-built ventilation system, engineered with a baffling system and fan combination to minimize sound and maximize air flow.
All vent systems are built to order. Determine what specifications work best for your space
Number of vent systems
To meet EPA Standards (so you do not suffocate), you need to turn the rooms air over at least once every 5 minutes. *In our GK sound isolation booths, we ensure that the air is circulating every 2 minutes to maximize comfort.
Use the following as a general rule of thumb when ordering systems for your room size.
- 4′ x 6′ and Under: One (1) Ventilation System with One (1) fan.
- For room sizes: 4’x8′ through 6’x8′, One (1) Ventilation systems with Two (2) fans pers system would be required.
- For rooms sizes: 8’x8′ you would need Two (2) Ventilation Systems with Two (2) fans per system.
Port Length
The port length measures the depth of the vent registers. Use your wall thickness to determine the proper length for your space.
Color
Our standard acoustic fabric colors are charcoal, black and silver (light grey). Custom colors and fabric are always welcomed – just ask!
Additional Considerations
- Remote: Use a Bluetooth remote to easily turn the vent system on and off.
- Increase fan speed: Upgrade fans to higher CFM (cubic feet per minute) to experience increased air flow. *Increased fan speed will increase sound level
- Adapter: Purchase an adapter and flexible acoustic ducting to connect the vent system to a portable AC unit or the HVAC in your space.
Robie, The Lilac Band would like to thank you and GK for the fantastic ventilation system. It went in just like a glove in our studio. The one thing I didn’t think of while building the studio. You made it an easy task to fix that one big mistake… It was a pleasure working with you. Rock on and Rock Hard.

Industrial Barrier Curtains
Industrial Barrier Curtains help to lower the volume of sound around loud machinery or separate loud objects from other parts of a room. These curtains are designed to block sound and help minimize echo and reverb. These curtains are built using a combination of our sound blocking vinyl barrier (1 pound/square foot) and quilted, sound absorbing padding. The curtain is covered in a fiberglass fabric and can be manufactured to be weather resistant.
All industrial barrier curtains are custom made to your specifications. Determine what works best for your space
Sizing
- Length: No material restriction. Can be made to the length of your specification
- Width: Any size up to 4.5′
- For widths above 4.5′, Velcro can be added around the edges to create a solid seam. This will help with both aesthetics and potential sound leakage.
Hanging Mechanism
- Grommets
- Hanging or floor-mounted tracking systems
Pricing
- No set price/square foot.
- Pricing is based on your specific needs, sizes, cuts and volume purchased
Additional Considerations
- These curtains are semi-rigid and do not bunch up, or accordion fold.
Anti-Vibration Rubber Mats
Rubber products help to isolate and decouple vibrations. Excellent choice for decoupling floor from noisy, vibrating machinery, motors, pumps, road noise, percussion instruments, hot tubs etc.
